Snow season has arrived in Laird Township. The Road Department and Council remind residents of the following winter rules to keep our roads safe for everyone.
No Parking on Township Roads
Parking on the roadway is not allowed during snow season, which begins November 1 each year. Vehicles that get in the way of snow removal may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Keep Snow Off the Road
Please do not push snow onto or across Township roads. Ridges and piles of frozen snow are a hazard for plow operators, road equipment and everyone who travels our roads.
Under Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act, no one may leave snow or ice on a roadway. Please make sure the snow from your driveway stays off municipal roads.
