  1. CALL TO ORDER/REVIEW AGENDA

  3. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES
    1. Laird Hall Caretaker Report: Heather Taylor
      1. So far the ramp repairs are not tracking into the hall.
      2. The lid is rotted on the outside garbage bin. A new bin is needed.
      3. The Sylvan Circle was asked to change the venue from Laird Hall to Bar River Hall due to the Laird Hall’s pending renovations. The Sylvan Circle declined siting Laird Hall as a preferred location on the highway and the accessibility washroom on the premises.
      4. The Laird Hall has been booked for the upcoming Municipal Election.
      5. There are two more celebrations of life booked at the hall. There will be no more bookings for such events due to the pending renovations.
      6. All regular hall users have been notified of the pending renovations. All groups finish by the end of June except the Trefry exercise group.
      7. Those who rent the Laird Hall for Christmas celebrations have been informed of the pending renovations.
  4. DELEGATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS-

    Rhonda Crozier, Laird Township Treasurer
    Glenn Irwin, Building Inspector and Laird Hall Renovation Project Manager

    Application process for the NOHFC Grant Application was shared.
    Focus of grant is mainly accessibility. The funds from the province amounts to $180,000. The township’s portion is $20,000+

  5. OTHER/NEW BUSINESS:
    1. The establishment of the main priorities of the Laird Hall Committee for the renovations of Laird Hall.

      “That priority for the NOHFC Grant be: exterior accessibility doors, widen two doorways, sand floor in main hall and refinish, replace kitchen cupboards and island, dishwasher, flooring (kitchen, hallway and bathrooms), painting the interior, replace windows in main hall and add an additional window, new ceiling in entrance, replace small roof on front of hall and replace vents in the siding.”
