“What a Season We Will Have” The Gazebo at the Fairgrounds in Laird Township Has Been Renovated Thanks to the $150,000 OTF Grant

Township –

The Township of Laird’s Laird Fairgrounds was showing its age. The Ontario Trillium Fund granted funding to the Gazebo at Laird Fairgrounds on Lake George Road East in Laird Township over the past year.

The funding granted by OTF was to upgrade, renovate and repair the facility to modernize and provide a longer useful season. Repairs were done to the foundation along with extending the concrete floors. The Gazebo has a new look and is updated with a facelift.

“This grant has greatly improved our facility and has provided a new and improved place for our adults and youth to gather and social network with friends within our rural community,” said Mayor Shawn Evoy. “We are thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s commitment to public recreation in our community.”
