Winter Road Safety Notice
The Road Department and Council remind residents that snow must not be pushed onto or across Township roads. Ridges and piles of frozen snow create hazardous conditions for road maintenance equipment, operators, and all who travel our roads.
Under Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act, no person may deposit snow or ice on a roadway. This requirement helps ensure safe winter maintenance operations and protects all road users.
Please help us keep our roads safe by ensuring that snow from your driveway stays off municipal roadways.
A reminder as well that parking on the roadway during snow season (beginning November 1 each year) is prohibited. Vehicles found obstructing snow-removal operations may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Thank you for your cooperation.
