CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD

By-law Number 1083-23

BEING A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD TO APPOINT A BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.

WHEREAS the Police Services Act R.S.O. 1990 Chapter P. 15, authorizes Council to pass by-laws for the appointing of municipal law enforcement officers;

AND WHEREAS Section 227 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25, authorizes Council to pass by-laws for appointing such officers as may be necessary for the purposes of the Corporation, for carrying into effect the provisions of any by-law of the Council;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Laird;

  1. HEREBY appoints Brant Coulter as By-law Enforcement Officer for the Township of Laird for the purpose of exercising all the powers and performing all the duties of a Municipal By-law Enforcement Officer in the enforcement of the by-laws of the Township of Laird;
  2. THAT Brant Coulter is herby authorized at all reasonable times to enter on any property in the Township of Laird to ascertain whether a municipal by-law is complied with, and to enforce or carry into effect any municipal by-law respecting the property of the occupant thereof;
  3. THIS by-law shall come into effect force and effect upon the date of passing.
