MINUTES OF THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP POLICE SERVIES BOARD MEETING HELD AUGUST 14, 2023, AT 9:00 AM IN THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP BOARDROOM CHAMBERS

ON MOTION (No. 07-23) of Dan Crozier, seconded by Shawn Evoy that the Police Services Board approves the minutes of June 12, 2023 and the agenda of August 12, 2023, as presented. CARRIED

Delegations and Presentations

Detachment Commander Graham of the Sault Ste. Marie OPP Detachment presented Calls For Service (CFS) report for May, June and July 2023, the Records Management System report for May, June and July 2023.

Business Arising out of Discussions

The Focus Patrol that took place for a 4-week period, early morning 7 to 9 a.m., and 4 to 6 p.m this summer had no charges laid. Another Focus Patrol will be held the last week of August and first week of September from 7 to 9 a.m.

New Business

Detachment Commander Graham will provide information on applying for a Community Safety Zone designation.

ON MOTION (No. 08-23) of Dan Crozier, seconded by Shawn Evoy that the police services board meeting be adjourned at 9:25 a.m. CARRIED
