Recreation Committee Minutes – November 29, 2022
MINUTES OF THE LAIRD RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2022
MEMBERS PRESENT: Donna Bos Matt Frolick Jo-Anne Entwistle Rhonda Crozier Brenda Aelick Shawn Evoy Suzanne Evoy

The meeting was called to order by Matt Frolick, Chairperson.
ON MOTION (No. R36-22) Moved by Shawn Evoy, seconded by JoAnne Entwistle “That the minutes of October 25, 2022 be adopted, as circulated.” CARRIED
Committee Reports:
- 1. Bar River Hall
- meeting with engineers to obtain drawings for hall reno
- Christmas Dance December 17, 2022.
- 2. Finns Bay Rd. Wharf
- looking for additional committee members
- entertaining a public meeting for public input
- investigating an area for snowmachine stagging area
- 3. Laird Fairgrounds
- received two large fridges donated by the hospital
- beavers are being caught
- 4. Laird Hall
- plug by the microwave doesn’t seem to be working
ON MOTION (No. R37-22) Moved by Shawn Evoy, seconded by Brenda Aelick “That the recreation committee approve of the accounts for October 2022 in the amount of $1594.26” CARRIED
Business Arising out of the Minutes:
The date for the Winter Carnaval has been changed to Saturday, February 3, 2023.
The Season Greetings flyer was reviewed by the committee and will be mailed out.
The Committee and Sub-Committees are asked to start preparing the budgets for 2023.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 7:00p.m.
