SANTA’S MAILBOX

The Santa’s Mailbox is located outside the Laird Township Office. Children are invited to mail their letters to SANTA before Friday, December 16th, 2022, and SANTA will write them back.

HOLIDAY HOME DECORATING CONTEST

Contest Rules:

· Participants must reside in the Township of Laird. · Nominations must be received by December 12th, 2022. Please submit nominations by e-mail: info@lairdtownship.ca · Judging will take place the week of December 12th – 16th, all participants are required to have their lights and decorations in operation during judging week. · Entries address will be placed on the Township Website to share your location for families and friends to have self-guided tours to enjoy your hard work this holiday season. · Winners will be announced Monday, December 19th, 2022. · Interested in being a judge? Please email info@lairdtownship.ca to request to be a judge.

CHRISTMAS CHEER BASKETS

Laird Recreation Committee is assisting the Echo Bay United Church Outreach by collecting items for Christmas Cheer Baskets. Items can be dropped off at the Laird Township office before December 9, 2022. Donations of food and toiletries as well as hats, mittens, and socks for all ages accepted. Any new gifts for toddlers to teens are more than welcome. Donations are greatly appreciated, and sure to help spread some joy and Christmas spirit during this difficult year. A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA

Laird Recreation is handing out some Holiday Goodie Bags this year. If you or someone you know lives alone, has little or no family support and could benefit from a little “pick-me-up” feel free to let the office know, you can drop the name and address in the drop box at the Township Office, phone: (705) 248-2395 or email: info@lairdtownship.ca (A draw will be held to determine who receives a bag).
