Mayor Evoy called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

#106-25 Moved by: Wayne Junor Seconded by: Brad Shewfelt BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council hereby approves the April 30, 2025, special meeting agenda as presented with the amendment to include agenda item 9. a. Algoma District Services Administrative Board (ADSAB) voting delegate appointment. Carried.

  1. a. Memo: 2022 Wacker Neuson Wheel Excavator #107-25 Moved by: Brad Shewfelt Seconded by: Wayne Junor BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council receives the April 30, 2025, 2022 Wacker Neuson Wheel Excavator report and further that Council directs staff to purchase the 2022 Wacker Neuson Wheel Excavator.

Carried.

  1. b. Final Budget 2025 #108-25 Moved by: Todd Rydall Seconded by: Matt Frolick BE IT RESOLVED THAT following the approval of the 2025 Budget Council instructs staff to inform the committees of their approved budget amounts and advise them to proceed with the appropriate purchases (under $5,000).

FURTHER, THAT Council instructs staff to prepare the following tenders:

  1. 1) Office computers
  2. 2) Cemetery Stone straightening
  3. 3) Rink playground equipment installation
  4. 4) Museum Framing
  5. 5) Gazebo wall sliding panels
  6. 6) Water system upgrades at fairgrounds
  7. 7) New Interior Washroom fairgrounds
  8. 8) Bar River Road Bridge waterproofing Carried.

#109-25 Moved by: Brad Shewfelt Seconded by: Matt Frolick BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves submitting a NOHFC application for the Laird Hall. Carried.

#110-25 Moved by: Matt Frolick Seconded by: Wayne Junor BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council adopts the 2025 Budget and sets the tax rates on a 4.1% increase in the amount of $78,563 and authorize the Clerk to draft the tax rates By-law. Carried.

9. New Business

  1. a. Algoma District Services Administration Board (ADSAB) voting delegate.

#111-25 Moved by: Brad Shewfelt Seconded by: Matt Frolick BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council appoints Councillor Todd Rydall as the voting delegate for the Algoma District Services Administration Board (ADSAB) election. Carried.
