1. Call to Order

Mayor Evoy called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

#191-24 Moved by: Wayne Junor Seconded by: Todd Rydall BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council hereby approves the September 12, 2024 agenda as presented with an amendment to add a closed session item to the agenda to discuss personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees. Carried.

  1. a. Fairgrounds Site Visit
  2. i. Water system (well, plumbing, treatment system) – Road Superintendent and Senior Machine Operator to provide overview of issues with the water system and discuss solutions.

#192-24 Moved by: Todd Rydall Seconded by: Brad Shewfelt BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the Roads Department to replace the water distribution piping at the Laird Fairgrounds complete with al isolation valves. Carried.

  1. ii. Laird International Raceway – Council to conduct annual site visit as per lease agreement to ensure the Premises is left in good condition and not in disrepair.
  • Council walked the Laird International Raceway grounds.
  1. b. Amendment to Fairgrounds Rental Fee Schedule – Laird Fairgrounds Committee would like to add an option to rent the horse arena during the day for 4 hours (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with a fee of $50.00.

#193-24 Moved by: Matt Frolick Seconded by: Brad Shewfelt BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the amendment to add a fee of $50.00 for weekday rentals for 4 hours (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Carried.

#194-24 Moved by: Brad Shewfelt Seconded by: Wayne Junor BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council increases the winter storage fee to $18/ft, including tongue length for indoor, and $150.00 for outdoor storage. Carried.

Carried.
