Cats At Waste Disposal Site Laird Township has been trapping cats at the Waste Disposal Site and rehoming them. To date, we have successfully relocated 12 cats to area farms.

Due to the frigid temperatures, trapping has been temporarily suspended. If you are interested in having cats relocated to your property, please contact the Township office to submit a request. Trapping will resume when weather permits.

Please note that feeding cats during our trapping efforts hinders our success, so we kindly ask that you do not feed them at this time.

Cats that cannot be rehomed locally will be transferred to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society. If you wish to support this effort, donations of food to the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
