Council has set disposal site hours for fall clean-up days as: Saturday October 14, 2023 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday October 15, 2023 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no charge for all household waste during these days, businesses are excluded. Items to be burned will not be accepted if a fire ban is in place. Please do not put recyclable material in the land fill!
The Laird Township Office has received multiple reports of portable basketball nets on Townships roads and/or on Township road allowance. This is a safety issue and we ask that anyone owning these to please remove them and store on private property.
The Dr. H.S. Trefry Center is once again offering an exercise program at the Laird Township Hall, located at 3 Pumpkin Point Road West.
Classes start September 22, 2023, at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be running every Friday.

9 a.m. to 10 .a.m. – Drop off of carved and painted pumpkins for contest.
9 a.m. tractor line-up, 10 a.m. – Tractor parade departs.
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Giant pumpkin weigh-ins.
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Games and crafts for the whole family.
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Pumpkins and Eggs Farm to Table Info.
9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Face Painting by Childcare Algoma.
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Bouncy castles by Business Solutions.
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – BBQ
11:30 a.m. – Awards presented for winning pumpkins.
Pumpkin pies for sale, while supplies last!
1:00 p.m. – Great Pumpkin Round-up (Pre-register limited spaces).
1:30 p.m. – Algoma Lawn Mower Racing Association Races at the Laird International Speedway infield.
Hay/wagon ride tours.
Farm animal petting area.
All Pumpkins to be judged MUST be registered by 11:00 a.m.
Entry to all games and competitions is FREE.
Prizes awarded to all participants while supplies last.
Vendors, displays and pumpkins for sale. WHY:
